About MiniRSS
MiniRSS is a compact RSS reader designed to fit into a working day. Feeds side by side, dense by default, no login, no algorithm.
Compact
The layout puts three to four feeds side by side, in narrow columns. You scan five sources in the time it takes most news apps to open one. No infinite scroll wall — each feed shows recent entries and stops.
Instant
Any RSS or Atom URL just loads. Paste a link into a feed slot and it appears. No account, no signup, no server to install, no config file. First visit offers a preset picker so you don't start from an empty page.
Web-native
Runs entirely in the browser. Nothing to install, nothing to keep updated. Bookmark it, open it in a new tab, share the URL with a coworker.
Discreet for work
Reads like a dashboard, not a news app. Muted colors, small type, no autoplaying video, no big splashy images by default, no red notification dots. Someone glancing at your monitor sees columns of text.
Optimized space use
No wasted padding, no persistent side panels, no hero images eating the top half of the viewport. Every part of the screen carries information — the layout is the point.
No account, no tracking
Your columns, feeds and pages are stored in your browser's localStorage. There is no user database on our end because there are no user accounts. We can't lose data we never had.
No algorithm
Feeds appear in the order the publisher put them in. No engagement ranking, no personalization, no "trending." You pick the sources, you pick the order, we render them.
How to use it
Each page has up to four columns; each column holds up to three feeds. Hover the + button on a column to add a feed by URL, or use the "browse feeds" option to search the built-in catalog. The + tab in the top bar creates a new section from scratch. The preset picker (available from any first visit or after resetting) lets you overhaul the whole layout in one step — including flag-tagged country presets for local news anywhere from Canada to Japan.
